An American in Paris at the Tony Awards!
The cast of An American In Paris was invited to perform at the 69th anniversary Tony Awards Performance this year! It was such an incredible experience to look around from backstage and see all the cameras, celebrities and paparazzi. It was an absolute thrill to perform in front of 6,ooo people inside Radio City Music Hall, and to represent An American In Paris as well as the Broadway industry to the world!
One of the biggest highlights of the evening was when Josh Groban sang ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone” from the musical Carousel for the “In Memoriam” part of the awards show. Over 175 Broadway performers surprised the audience when we rose on elevators to sing behind Josh – it was the most people to perform at the same time in Tony Awards history. I was honored to be part of this amazing opportunity, and to share this moment and perform along with some of the greatest performing artists on Broadway. This was another dream come true!
