DLShannon_sportsdrink_MAINSummer is here and it’s so important to drink water throughout the day to
stay hydrated. Our body loses essential electrolytes and energy when we
are dancing all day. Sport drinks can help replenish what our body loses
and sustain our energy throughout a long day of dancing.

I have made my own version of a sports drink without all the unnecessary
ingredients and that won’t break the bank. It is easy, quick and does the
trick!

1: Boil water
2: Pour 1/2 cup of hot water into a cup with 2 tablespoons of raw honey
and 1 teaspoon of sea salt. Let it fully dissolve into the water for about
5 minutes
3: Pour over one cup of ice-cold water
4: Drink and enjoy!

I like to add a few drops of liquid stevia to make it sweet and squeeze a
lemon or lime into the sports drink for some extra flavor. For extra
energy I add two tablespoons of chia seeds into the drink. Let them soak
for thirty minutes before drinking. You will get the perfect amount of
electrolytes, sugar, omegas 3’s and energy. Cheers!
