From the Ballet to Broadway!
I have some really exciting news to share with all of you. I am joining the original cast of the Broadway production of An American in Paris! I have wanted to go to Broadway since I was a little girl and am thrilled to be a part of such an amazing show. An American in Paris is such a classic film and is one of my favorite movies of all time. It’s a dream come true to be a part of this amazing production!
San Francisco Ballet has been so supportive. I am able to take a temporary leave of absence to join the cast of AAIP. On my break from the off-broadway previews of AAIP in Paris, I will be dancing with SF Ballet for the opening gala and in the firsts two programs of the season during late January and February, 2015. So I will have a packed year full of Broadway and Ballet!
An American in Paris will be in Paris for the off-broadway previews in December and will officially open on Broadway at the Palace Theater in NYC on April 12, 2015. There will be a lot of different styles of dancing (ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, and character) as well as singing and acting in the broadway show. So I will definitely have my work cut out for me, and also have an amazing opportunity to use my other dancing, acting and singing abilities! I am so happy to be able to share this news with you and will enjoy sharing my adventures about my first Broadway show!
