image1.PNG‘Tis the season of Nutcracker, yet again!

Our run of Nutcracker starts this week at Symphony Hall here in Phoenix. This year I will be dancing the corps roles of snow and flowers, as well as Marzipan in the second act, and the lead role of Dew Drop. I am very excited to get another lead opportunity. It has been a very challenging role for me since the choreography consists mostly of jumps, quick feet and lots of endurance, but I am enjoying every moment of it.

There are a total of twenty-three shows, so I am bracing myself for all the performances. I have been sewing and preparing my pointe shoes (black shoes included for Marzipan.) I have also been working on my cardio and foot exercises to make sure that the performances wont wear me down, but make me stronger.
