Retro Dance Fashions: What Year Is It?

I have long maintained that, unless you really know dance shoes, if I took a photo in a dance studio, on stage or in a catalog, would you really be able to guess what year it was taken? Counter that with taking a photo of people walking down the street or in a regular consumer catalog and I’ll bet you get within a year or two of the actual date. Don’t believe me? Give it a try!
